Nichinan

The Nichinan area is located in the southern part of Miyazaki Prefecture facing the Sea of Hyuga, and is characterized by its warm climate all year round. Must-see spots along the Nichinan Line include Aoshima Jingu Shrine and the “Devil’s Washboard” that surrounds Aoshima Island. Travel to Udo Jingu Shrine, with its history of myths, and to Obi where samurai residences still stand.
