Yuzawa

Yuzawa is the southernmost town in central Niigata Prefecture. Bordering Nagano and Gunma prefectures, it is known as a mountain resort area surrounded by the 2,000-meter-high Japan Alps. The high-quality hot springs and ski resorts in Echigo-Yuzawa are popular tourist destinations.
