Shirakami

The area around World Natural Heritage site Shirakami Sanchi is a treasure trove of famous places that you should visit at least once. Travel there on the Resort Shirakami train, perhaps to Lake Juniko with the impressive Aoike Pond and its mysterious cobalt blue waters, or to Senjojiki Coast with rock ledges that look out onto the Sea of Japan.
